In the upcoming movie “Be Happy,” Abhishek Bachchan takes on the role of a single father to his on-screen daughter, played by Inayat Verma. Directed by Remo D’Souza, this film will make its debut on Amazon Prime Video on March 14, 2025. During promotional appearances, Abhishek shared insights about working with Remo. When inquired if he favors Remo as a director or choreographer, he replied that Remo can be quite challenging as a choreographer.
In an interview with the Times of India, Abhishek Bachchan expressed his preference for director Remo D’Souza, referring to him as a demanding but skillful choreographer.
In his work as a choreographer, Remo usually incorporates intricate dance steps and extended shots, but he opted against this approach in their most recent movie.
As a director, Abhishek commended him for his talent in distinguishing between his skills in choreography and movie-making. The actor emphasized that choreography is an intricate art form that demands precision with timing and rhythm, limiting the possibility of deviations.
On the other hand, Sr. Bachchan pointed out that when Remo assumes the director’s position, there’s no apparent impact from his dance choreography background. Instead, according to Sr. Bachchan, Remo encourages actors to express themselves freely without imposing strict limitations on their performances or camera shots.
In a different conversation with PTI, the Dhoom actor expressed thoughts on “Be Happy” and mentioned that not too many movies have explored the relationship between a father and his daughter extensively.
He discussed thoughts on how a family copes when a mother is no longer present, highlighting that his upcoming film offers an engaging plot where a father takes on the role usually filled by the mother. He pointed out that stories like this are seldom seen in movies, making it both innovative and distinctive.
Under the direction of Remo D’Souza, the film “Be Happy” focuses on the character Shiv, a dedicated single parent, who tirelessly works to fulfill his talented daughter’s dreams.
In the upcoming movie, Amitabh Bachchan is reconnecting with child actor Inayat Verma, whom he worked with previously in the 2020 comedy-drama titled Ludo. Alongside Bachchan, the cast includes Johny Lever, Nora Fatehi, Nassar, and Harleen Sethi in significant roles.
