As a passionate film enthusiast, I was initially thrilled at the prospect of diving into Season 2 of “One Piece” alongside other anticipated Netflix shows in 2025. However, it seems that our plans for a Netflix binge-watching session this year may not materialize as expected. Although fellow fans might find this news disheartening, there’s an exciting development brewing within the anime series that should bring smiles to their faces – the English dub of the anime is poised to reach a significant milestone by synchronizing with its Japanese counterpart for the very first time!
After what feels like an eternity spanning two exciting decades, I’m thrilled to share that the English dubbed episodes of the iconic anime series “One Piece” are finally catching up with their Japanese counterparts! This long-awaited news was confirmed by our dedicated Voice Director Emily Fajardo, who couldn’t help but express her joy and pride at this significant milestone. I can hardly wait to embark on this journey once more, this time alongside Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates in English!
Previously, the redubbed version lagged far behind the Japanese releases by hundreds of episodes. However, during the pandemic, significant progress was made to close this gap. Since then, it has been gradually catching up and is now on the verge of becoming current. This means that fans who strongly prefer the English dub won’t have to wait as long after the original episodes air before they can watch their preferred version.
When Will The Latest English-Dubbed Batch Of One Piece Episodes Be Available?
As a dedicated movie enthusiast who can’t get enough of anime, I’m thrilled to share that starting April 6th, we’ll have new episodes of “One Piece” gracing our screens on Crunchyroll! But before that, we’ve got some treats in store for you this March. The dubbed episodes we’ve been waiting for, from episode 1109 to 1122, will be available on the platform as early as March 18th. In the meantime, the Egghead arc continues to unfold, and it seems the Straw Hats are uncovering some mind-blowing truths about the world before the World Government, thanks to Dr. Vegapunk’s satellite research. It’s an exciting time for “One Piece” fans!
Absolutely, the anime version is currently lagging behind the original manga, as it’s now past the Egghead storyline and into the Elbaf arc. At this point, it’s unclear when creator Eiichiro Oda plans to wrap up this lengthy series. However, Emily Fajardo, the voice director, has given us a hint about the “Laugh Tale” island, which is rumored to be where Gold Roger hid the One Piece. This makes one wonder if we’re approaching the final stages of the story.
Where To Binge One Piece’s Anime Before The Season 2 Premiere On Netflix
At present, it seems that Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece may not air until the year 2026. For those who haven’t previously watched the anime series, catching up before its premiere will require a significant investment of time. In March, an additional 1122 English dubbed episodes will be released, which equates to approximately 420.75 hours or around 17 and a half days of continuous streaming to reach the current series’ latest point. Having completed this task myself and eagerly awaiting Season 2, I can attest that it’s quite demanding but also engaging. If you’re up for the challenge, I’d encourage you to give it a try!
For fans eager to catch the latest episodes of “One Piece” anime, Crunchyroll is the go-to platform. However, Netflix offers a decent selection of episodes too, allowing subscribers to stream up to episode 750. So, don’t wait; dive in and explore!
