Amazon unfortunately ended the run of the teen drama revival of “Cruel Intentions” after just one season, leaving fans disappointed. While many movie enthusiasts from 1999 were initially excited about this fresh interpretation of the storyline, critics criticized it as yet another redundant reboot that missed capturing the essence of what made the original a beloved cult classic.
As reported by Variety, the film “Cruel Intentions,” initially conceived over three years ago and premiered on Prime Video in November 2024, did not manage to crack the Top 10 streaming list during its run. This lack of popularity likely contributed significantly to its cancellation. Although it’s worth noting that the movie garnered just a 24% approval rating from critics, which undoubtedly didn’t bolster its case.

Relationships will be tested, secrets will be exposed, and alliances will shift in this modern-day royal court that is Manchester College.
