As a gaming enthusiast, let me tell you, Marvel Rivals might be sitting on a goldmine with the entire Marvel IP at their disposal. Yet, Overwatch 2 has managed to create some truly exciting partnerships, like teaming up with Avatar: The Last Airbender – collaborations that have made this game even more captivating for me!
Currently, Blizzard is unveiling a fresh collaboration with the K-pop group LE SSERAFIM, timing it with the release of their upcoming album “HOT,” which is scheduled for later in the week.
Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM
Though the initial collaboration boasted a fully 3D-rendered unveiling, the subsequent project is maintaining a 2D style; however, it’s no less extraordinary. Take a look at it here:
Unveil your courageous side in Overwatch 2, alongside the dynamic K-pop group LE SSERAFIM. Prepare for an exhilarating collaboration with this popular Korean sensation. Immerse yourself in stunning new character skins and expressive emotes that respond to the rhythm of the music.
Prior to the introduction of character skins, Overwatch 2 will stream live on March 17 (8:30 p.m. PT), during which they will unveil a fresh music video from the group LE SSERAFIM.
I couldn’t help but take a peek at the fresh skins unveiled for Ashe, Illari, D. Va, Juno, and Mercy! Here’s an exclusive sneak peek of the official artwork that was just revealed:
Recolors will also be released for the previous LA SERRAFIM collaboration.
Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM Last Year
In the previous year, the music group LE SSERAFIM partnered with Overwatch to unveil a series of skins influenced by K-pop, which were applied to characters such as Kiriko, D. Va, Sombra, Tracer, and Brigitte. For your understanding, here’s an animated trailer showcasing the collaboration: [link to the original animated trailer]
In the collaboration, there was a fresh game mode called “The Concert Clash,” however, it seems that Blizzard won’t reintroduce this specific mode in their upcoming partnership.
Why No New Game Mode?
It appears that Blizzard has their hands full with updating various aspects of the game right now, leading them to concentrate solely on releasing new skins for the moment.
In an interview with eSports Illustrated, Blizzard’s Product Management Director Aimee Dennett explains that their collaborations don’t follow a standard formula. Instead, they focus on creating enjoyable and engaging experiences for the IP (intellectual property) and players. Regarding Concert Clash, Dennett states that before bringing it back, they ensured it was in a suitable position, but they prioritized focusing resources on the main game due to other crucial developments happening there.
Perhaps we’ll see a return later on, but in the meantime, enthusiasts can savor fresh K-pop-influenced costumes for an upcoming set of Overwatch heroines.
OW vs Marvel Rivals

Despite Marvel Rivals dominating the spotlight since 2025 began, Overwatch 2 has been fiercely competing by forging strong partnerships and now introducing further enhancements to its main game.
It appears that Blizzard was falling behind on their commitments regarding the Overwatch sequel, but now with the emergence of Marvel Rivals, they seem to be facing some stiff competition. Consequently, the developers will need to boost their efforts significantly.
On March 18th, the collaboration between Overwatch 2 and LE SSERAFIM will be unveiled. Now, you can enjoy playing Overwatch 2 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.
