The jury’s decision likely would have elicited a cheerful “You’re welcome” from the lively demigod Maui, as they ruled that the concepts behind the 2016 animated film did not originate from Buck Woodall, whose story ‘Bucky the Wave Warrior’ was said to share significant similarities with Disney’s blockbuster hit.
