Ryan Coogler’s latest horror thriller, titled “Sinners“, a blood-sucking vampire movie starring Michael B. Jordan, is showing promising box office results ahead of its release, according to early reports. This should bring relief to the higher-ups at Warner Bros., who are keeping a close eye on their upcoming 2025 slate of expensive films, as it appears that theater-goers are taking an interest in this big-budget production.
Based on Puck’s analysis, the upcoming movie “Sinners” appears to be outperforming “Mickey 17” in terms of preliminary box office predictions from The Quorum, a company that assesses a film’s likely success before its release. As we stand now, the forthcoming vampire film boasts an Awareness score of 29 and an Interest score of 45. Remarkably, these numbers are comparable to, or even surpassing, those of Marvel Studios’ “Thunderbolts,” a movie that has garnered attention due to its innovative marketing strategy. It’s worth noting that “Sinners” is an original concept from Ryan Coogler, the director behind “Black Panther.” The early tracking data indicates that non-IP (non-intellectual property) movies can potentially be blockbuster hits as well.
More to come.
