Johnny Lever, a renowned comedian and actor, has appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan in several films such as Baazigar and Karan Johar. In a recent interview, this veteran entertainer reminisced about his relationship with SRK and recounted the story of when Salman Khan accidentally fired a gun at his co-star during the filming of Karan Arjun.
In a conversation with Galatta India, comedian Johny Lever opened up about his work experiences with numerous Bollywood heavyweights. During this chat, he disclosed that after completing filming for the day on Karan Arjun, the entire crew, including Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, would celebrate together. He mentioned that Salman, star of The Tiger 3, frequently played pranks on his fellow actors, making for a lively atmosphere on set.
Occasionally, they worried that the joke could backfire and SRK might take offense to something. However, during a social gathering, the two Khans had a heated disagreement which escalated into a physical fight. It was at this point when the Sikandar actor whipped out a firearm and aimed it at the Pathaan actor. SRK collapsed instantly. Even Honey Irani, an esteemed actor-screenwriter, was left reeling in shock and disbelief by the entire incident.
Initially, it was rumored that Salman Khan and Shah Rukh would engage in a fight. Later, they orchestrated a scene for a joke, causing confusion when everyone around them grew tense. However, what seemed like a real altercation was actually a well-planned prank by the two stars. In the staged incident, Salman pretended to shoot his friend with an empty gun, while Shah Rukh played along by falling down as if injured.
In the same interview, Johnny Lever shared his heartfelt connection with actor Shah Rukh Khan (also known as Jawan). He disclosed that their professional journey began with the movie Baazigar in 1993, and he fondly recalled an interesting fact – the celebration party for this crime thriller film was held at Guari Khan’s residence before she tied the knot with SRK.
On March 13, 2024, Salman and Shah Rukh were seen arriving at Aamir Khan’s home in Mumbai, a day before the celebration of Aamir Khan’s 60th birthday on March 14, 2025.
