Bill Simmons will remain as head of talk strategy at Spotify after reupping his contract there.
In 2020, both the podcast host and executive became part of Spotify’s team when the company purchased their website and podcast company, The Ringer. This acquisition expanded Spotify’s podcast network to include more than 50 well-known podcasts such as The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Rewatchables, and The Ryen Russillo Podcast.
Simmons will report to the new head of podcast business, Roman Wasenmüller.
He asserted, “Spotify stands among the top content providers globally.” He added, “Having been in various professional environments, one can usually sense when they’re at the perfect place. I believe we’re all driven to create something truly remarkable within our discussions and visual presentations.
More to come.
