Recently, Dino Morea discussed both his career journey and personal tales, stressing that his relationships had no bearing on his professional decisions. He also divulged an instance where he was let go from a project without prior notice, expressing, “I found out in the newspaper that someone else was working on the film instead.
During an interview with TopMob, Dino Morea was questioned about whether his past relationship might have influenced his film choices. However, he emphatically dismissed any such link, explaining that he’s consistently made decisions about films based on their projected success at the box office, not on personal matters.
he signed a two-picture deal with a renowned director and producer, but was still replaced in one of those movies. He remembered that all details were settled and he was ready to start filming in ten days when, surprisingly, he found out through a newspaper that someone else had been assigned to the project instead.
In that particular juncture, I acknowledged that contracts were often disregarded, and the weight of agreements was minimal at best. My superiors even suggested I should forget about it to avoid stirring up trouble with powerful figures in the film industry. However, I chose a different path.
Despite the event not significantly affecting his career due to other opportunities, he acknowledged it was peculiar that a well-known director decided to replace him without any prior notice.
Additionally, Dino pointed out that incidents like these were quite prevalent not just within the industry but also in corporate environments. Frequently, businesses would withdraw from agreements in such scenarios.
When questioned about his connection to the actors and filmmakers post-production, Morea explained that the actors weren’t to blame since the decision was in the hands of the director and producer.
Nevertheless, he didn’t converse with them ever after, and neither did they attempt to contact him. Additionally, he recounted another analogous incident where he was supposed to act in a movie under a prominent production company, but eventually, someone else from the film industry got the part instead.
In spite of these obstacles, he asserted that occurrences like these are common in this field, and it’s essential to persevere and return more resilient.
