On March 14, 2025, Ayan Mukerji’s father, esteemed actor Deb Mukherjee, passed away at the age of 83. Following their farewell visit to Ayan’s home, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Salim Khan, Jaya Bachchan, and others proceeded to the cremation site for the late actor’s funeral service.
On Friday, March 14th, Alia Bhatt was seen at a cremation ground, attending the final rituals for Ayan Mukerji’s father and renowned actor Deb Mukherjee. Her sister Shaheen Bhatt accompanied her, and together they walked towards the premises.

Actor Hrithik Roshan, who is working with director Ayan on their upcoming film “War 2”, made an appearance not just to promote the movie, but also to offer his sympathies. Sporting a crutch due to a leg injury sustained during dance rehearsals for the film, Hrithik was in the news recently, according to Bollywood Hungama reports.
Karan Johar, the movie director, joined the mourners at the funeral site for Mukherjee’s final rites. In the footage, you can see him stepping out of his vehicle and making a quick walk towards the property. Additionally, Salman Khan’s father, renowned screenwriter Salim Khan, was there too to offer support during this difficult period.
