DC Dark Legion launches today, bringing famous superheroes and supervillains together

  • DC Dark Legion is out now on iOS and Android
  • It sees DC heroes and villains teaming up to take on the Batman Who Laughs
  • Expand and upgrade your own Batcave and take on other players in PvP too

DC Comics seems to have a strong affinity (perhaps even an excessive one) for large-scale crossover events that involve superheroes engaging in epic battles with villains. The survival of the world or even multiple worlds is often at stake, and these events frequently feature well-known characters. One such recent event is DC: Dark Legion, developed by FunPlus, which is now available on iOS and Android devices.

In this scenario, well-known characters, both heroes and villains, join forces to confront the multiversal danger posed by The Laughing Batman, a version of Batman twisted into a jester by the Joker. Alongside him are an array of Batmen from different universes who have strayed from their original paths and now exhibit chilling, peculiar behaviors.

This implies that you should assemble groups consisting of both allies and adversaries, such as Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman alongside their arch enemies. With an initial selection of 50 iconic characters available at launch, and a planned roster of 200, you’ll have plenty of chances to create your dream (or nightmare) team.

Beyond the Batcave

Of course, you’ll require a solid headquarters for your resistance movement, and a versatile, adaptable Batcave serves that purpose perfectly. You can also customize your squad of both allies and adversaries, deploying them in combat against either the forces of the Laughing Batman or other players.

Although DC: Dark Legion appears to be a sleek and thoughtfully designed entry in the genre, it’s hard not to recall Invincible: Guarding the Globe, another finely crafted game that didn’t receive as much attention following its release.

I’m curious if fans find value in such seemingly strategic announcements, given the overwhelmingly positive response to the recently launched Marvel Rivals hero shooter on PC.
