After all these years writing about Epic Universe, I never thought it would become a reality – remember when I expressed my concerns that it might not materialize? Well, now it seems unbelievable, but the world’s latest theme park is on the horizon! In fact, tickets for a single day at Epic Universe were made available to the public yesterday, before its official opening in May. And here’s something amusing: as of today, Epic Universe has reached an important milestone – if you have a witty sense of humor, that is!
Epic Universe is set to welcome visitors on May 22, 2025, which translates to 69 days from now. If you’ve got your calculators handy, you can confirm that! This exciting news has been circulating online, and as anticipated, the internet has reacted just as the internet often does. An account on X platform has been tracking these days, and this morning, they revealed the countdown number.

Is this juvenile? Not exactly, but if you’ve got a good sense of humor about you, it’s still quite amusing. Typically, when everyone tells the same joke, it loses its charm. However, when every single person is repeating the same joke ad infinitum, I’d contend that it eventually circles back to being incredibly funny once more.
Indeed, let’s pause our laughter for a moment. In approximately two months, the Epic Universe will officially commence operations, having been open for 69 days. Given everything that has transpired, it’s truly astounding to think back to when the idea of a third theme park at Universal Orlando resort was still just a speculation. After the rumor was verified, construction on the park faced delays due to the pandemic, causing many to question if this project would ever become reality.
Currently, Epic Universe isn’t far off, marking the beginning of several significant themed entertainment ventures from Universal. Coming up this year, we have Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas – an enduring manifestation of the Halloween Horror Nights experience at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida. Following closely is the Universal Kids Resort, a family-friendly park primarily for young children, which is scheduled to debut next year. This project is currently under construction in Texas.
Additionally, Universal is contemplating establishing a park in the United Kingdom too. Although it’s not finalized, the plan appears promising without any significant hindrances, suggesting a high probability of approval. So, we eagerly await the years it will take for this park to open.
