In the sequel to “Kingdom Come: Deliverance,” the second game area focuses on the expansive town of Kuttenberg. This settlement, more than any previous location, towers over the others in size. In fact, it’s so large that it could easily defend itself against most villages within the game by enclosing its walls.
There are plenty of sights and activities around here. Some buildings are more intricately detailed than others. One of the more luxurious spots you can visit is Emperor Charles Tavern, which is also connected to the Strange Little Verses treasure hunt quest. Here’s a guide on how to locate the tavern and all the fun things you can do there.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or need further clarification.
Where Is Emperor Charles Tavern In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The Emperor Charles Tavern can be found in the northwestern part of Kuttenberg. Upon entering via the western main gate, proceed straight and take your first left towards the north. The tavern is situated at the end of that street, just one street away from two cobblers who are also residents of this town. Keep in mind that the doors may only be open during regular business hours unless you’re an existing customer.

The key attraction of this tavern lies in its lodging option, where you can opt for a bed to rest on. You have the flexibility to rent the bed for a single night or, alternatively, transform it into a permanent residence by paying just 120 Groschen, which might even be negotiated lower. Despite being located on the second floor, this does not include the ground level; instead, you’ll need to climb two sets of stairs before reaching your room at the top of the second floor, marked with a green wreath.
Talk to Innkeeper Harvel who wanders around the ground floor, usually out front, to get a room.
Beyond your private quarters and the storage chest, there are several activities within the Tavern itself. On the floor above the entrance level, you’ll find a kitchen where customers can dine, provided they have paid for their stay. On the ground floor, there’s a game of dice that typically has only one opponent, unless it’s quite late at night or very early in the morning. Out back, you’ll find a trough used for cleaning and also two horses, which could be of interest if you’re looking to make a quick profit by stealing or if you need a reliable steed.
Horse Name | Stats |

Siegfried | Stamina – 190 Capacity – 288 Speed – 41 Courage – 19 Value – 2590 |
If you don’t mind the risk of being discovered and facing consequences, this upscale establishment boasts four levels above its ground floor, many of which house personal rooms and private spaces. Since it’s a high-end tavern, exploring and even potential theft can yield substantial rewards. Additionally, it serves as an excellent temporary residence in the city, given your frequent comings and goings for the main storyline.
