How to make the King Beetle alpha armor set in Monster Hunter Wilds

The King Beetle Alpha armor set is one of the most powerful pieces of equipment you can get in Monster Hunter Wilds, and it has the potential to become part of your endgame build.

This specific armor set has five different pieces, so finding them all can take some time. However, the correct materials can be used to craft all the items, and this guide will help you with the process.

How to craft King Beetle Alpha armor set parts in Monster Hunter Wilds

This specific armor is hidden until you find a particular item required to produce the parts. You’ll need three different ingredients to craft the parts, and all of them can be farmed using different methods.

  • 5x Vespoid Carapace: This item requires you to eliminate five High Rank Vespoids. To do so, speak with Alma and start the Vespoids Capriccio side quest. Repeat the process till you have all five to craft your set.
  • 5x Monster Broth: This item can be collected from Nerscylla hatchlings, which can be found within the Ice Shard Cliffs.
  • 5x Great Hornfly: This is the secret item that unlocks the set, and you can find it from either Musharpeye or Gawdydog. This item is harder to find because the trader’s inventory rotates periodically. Hence, you’ll have to check the available items if you don’t see Great Hornfly on the first attempt. The traders can be found at the Wudwud Hideout in Scarlet Forest.

You’ll need one item of each type to craft the individual pieces (more information about them is in the following table). Besides the ingredients, forging the armor parts will also require 20,000 Zenny (full set).

This is an extremely good armor set to craft if you’re struggling with the apex predators inside the game. If you’re looking for an alternative, the Suja Sash Armor is highly recommended and something you can craft in Monster Hunter Wilds.
