UU Tiles Offer a Functional Alternative to Traditional Tiling

Unknown, Untitled’s newest project, UU Tiles, is a fresh take on classic ceramic tiles, offering improved functionality and a contemporary design twist. By integrating the practical elements of everyday fixtures into an architectural setting, UU Tiles subtly merges the boundaries between objects and their surrounding spaces.

At a factory in Normandy, these handcrafted tiles exhibit a gleaming surface. You’ll find them displayed in various hues such as rosewood, fiery red, soft mint green, pale yellow, deep blue, forest green, blue-gray, light gray, off-white, and muted pink. The collection encompasses three different tile designs: a standard flat tile, a lamp tile, and a hook tile, all available in each color.

To create an immersive and refined ambiance, users have the option to adopt a balanced, single-colored design. Alternatively, they can opt for a more inventive style by combining tiles in diverse patterns. Individual lamps or hanger tiles can also be installed independently as a quick refresh. The UU Tile collection offers numerous possibilities, extending the themes of adaptability and flexibility that Unknown, Untitled often embodies in its creations.

Since its founding in 2016, the company Unknown, Untitled has been involved in an array of industrial design tasks. Lately, they’ve worked on aluminum cases for Rimowa, developed the Portal TV smart camera for Meta, and even designed a wind turbine for energy conglomerate Envision Group.
