UNIQLO’s Tate Modern Pop-up Will Celebrate the London Gallery’s 25th Anniversary

today, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve become an official partner with the iconic Tate Modern gallery for their 25th anniversary! Throughout this season-long event, I’ll be hosting special workshops and programs in collaboration, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone. Excitedly, my very own pop-up store will be running at the gallery – can’t wait to see you there!

From May 9th to September 16th, the colossal London museum situated within a revamped industrial building along the Thames River will feature the UNIQLO Tate Store and associated events. This area will showcase unique collaborative merchandise between Tate Modern and UNIQLO, featuring special tees adorned with artwork from artists like Louise Bourgeois, Ayoung Kim, and Salvador Dalí. Previews of these tees display renowned pieces such as Bourgeois’ bronze spider sculpture and Dalí’s lobster telephone, both branded with the UNIQLO x Tate Modern logo. Alongside limited-time product launches and a selection of regular items, UNIQLO projects like UTme! will provide visitors with customizable T-shirts and embroidery options.

Tate Modern is hosting a celebration from May 9th to 14th, featuring unique talks, hands-on workshops, guided tours, and free activities. This event will be centered around engaging art installations and live shows. The spirit of UNIQLO’s LifeWear philosophy, “Art for All,” will be reflected as the brand conducts creative workshops starting from this celebration weekend onwards.

Fast Retailing, parent company of UNIQLO, has announced that their partnership with Tate, established in 2016, will continue until the year 2029. In 2021, this collaboration introduced the UNIQLO Tate Play program, an interactive initiative. Last year, UNIQLO’s UT line launched a collection titled “Curated By Tate“, which creatively transformed a series of abstract artworks into t-shirt designs.

Visit the Tate Modern website for up-to-date information on the forthcoming events at the gallery.
