In a fresh turn of events, the captivating melody that’s stirring townsfolk now is sung by Julianne Moore. This Academy Award-winning actress is taking the plunge into the enigmatic depths of Netflix’s upcoming dark comedy titled “Sirens”. Joining her in this enticing venture are stars from popular series such as Meghann Fahy (from The White Lotus), and Milly Alcock (Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow). With the intriguing first-look images that Netflix has shared (feel free to check them out in the gallery below!), it appears we’re all being drawn towards this mesmerizing and eccentric new series.
Originating from playwright and screenwriter Molly Smith Metzler, who has previously created the series “Maid”, comes the show “Sirens”. As described by Netflix’s own Tudum, Devon (Fahy) embarks on a trip to a luxurious island filled with mansions and hydrangeas. However, the waters surrounding this paradise are not as clear as they seem, hinting at mystery and intrigue. Interestingly, the official synopsis reveals a more comedic tone:
“Sirens” focuses on Devon’s (Fahy) adventure to a lavish island, where she discovers that the seemingly pristine waters hide deeper complexities.
Devon believes her sibling Simone (Alcock) maintains a very unsettling bond with her mysterious employer, the influential socialite Michaela Kell (Moore). The alluring lifestyle of Michaela, which seems almost cult-like, appears to have a strong hold over Simone. Devon feels compelled to stage an intervention, unaware of the formidable adversary she’s about to face. Over the span of a tumultuous weekend at the Kells’ opulent beach mansion, Sirens delves into a sharp, witty, and occasionally humorous examination of women, power, and social hierarchy.

‘Sirens’ Features A Veritable Smorgasbord Of Good Actors You Know And Love
Hang on now, could that be Kevin Bacon in the first picture? Absolutely, it is! As we mentioned earlier, the expansive cast of Sirens features actors who are familiar faces. Given that the series is overseen by Margot Robbie, such a star-studded lineup seems fitting. After all, her production company, LuckyChap, has a proven track record of attracting A-list talent.
I mean, just look at this cast list, also via Tudum:
- Julianne Moore as Michaela Kell: Michaela is a philanthropist and animal activist who runs island high society, and is the wife of billionaire Peter Kell. Her relationship with her assistant, Simone, seems too close for comfort.
- Meghann Fahy as Devon DeWitt: Devon is on a downward spiral back in her hometown. She’s funny, resilient, and fiercely protective — especially of her younger sister Simone.
- Milly Alcock as Simone DeWitt: Simone is Devon’s sharp and charming younger sister who hit the jackpot — working as a personal assistant to a billionaire. (We also recently saw her in the BTS image of Supergirl James Gunn recently posted.)
- Kevin Bacon as Peter Kell: Peter comes from old money and is the most important person in every room he enters. He’s an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the occasional joint.
- Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) as Ethan Corbin III: Ethan is a dear friend of the Kells and a lifelong bachelor who lives next door. He’s a regular at the yacht club, and he’s rapidly burning through his trust fund.
- Felix Solis (Ozark) as Jose: Jose plays the role of humble gardener, but he’s actually the manager of Cliff House — the head of security, the puppet master of the estate’s vast surveillance system, and Peter’s right-hand man.
- Bill Camp (Presumed Innocent, The Queen’s Gambit) as Bruce DeWitt: Simone (Alcock) and Devon’s (Fahy) father, Bruce, is a former Navy man. He’s Buffalo-born and bred and has recently been diagnosed with early-onset dementia. Gruff and proud, he dreads becoming a burden to his daughters.
- Josh Segarra (Scream, Abbott Elementary) as Raymond: The proud manager of a restaurant franchise in Buffalo, New York, Raymond is Devon’s longtime, on-and-off toxic boyfriend.
- Trevor Salter (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law) as Jordan: Rugged and handsome, Jordan is the captain of Ethan’s yacht. All the society ladies have a crush on him.
- Britne Oldford (Dead Ringers, The Umbrella Academy, Long Bright River) as Missy: The Kells’ seasonal housekeeper hates the job and equally loathes the commute from the mainland.
- Lauren Weedman (Hacks, Looking) as Patrice: Professional, tough, and no-nonsense, Patrice is the Kells’ longtime personal chef.
- “The Fates” — Jenn Lyon (Claws, Dead Boy Detectives) as Cloe; Erin Neufer (Fellow Travelers, Julia) as Lisa; Emily Borromeo (Blue Bloods, FBI: Most Wanted) as Astrid: Cloe, Lisa, and Astrid often speak as one and dress identically as a trio. They are devoted to Michaela and her preservation work. Cloe is the mean girl, Lisa is the zealot, and Astrid is the ditz.
The show is adapted from the play “Elemeno Pea,” penned by Metzler while attending the Juilliard School. The series will premiere its five one-hour installments on May 22, 2025.
