When Chunky Panday revealed social media trolling ‘was very upsetting and disturbing’ for Ananya Panday and his family

Actor Chunky Panday, known for his numerous iconic roles spanning over three decades in the film industry, discussed his daughter Ananya Panday’s career in Bollywood as well as the negative comments she encounters online. He expressed that these instances of trolling and hate were both distressing and troubling for him.

In a past conversation with Times Of India, Chunky Panday was inquired about the guidance he offered his daughter as she embarked on her Bollywood career. Chunky stressed that it was crucial for her to carve out her own path instead of aiming to duplicate someone else’s achievements.

The “Call Me Bae” star was cautioned against replicating someone else’s pathway to success, since it may not be suitable for her circumstances, and instead encouraged to forge her own distinct voyage. Furthermore, he emphasized the significance of neither undervaluing nor overvaluing anyone within the field.

As he sees it, success isn’t always foreseeable, and even if someone has scored a hit working with one actor, it doesn’t necessarily mean they will achieve the same result with another. He advised the actress of Dream Girl 2 not to pursue the incorrect chances and instead let events progress at their own pace. Additionally, he cautioned her that excessive planning can lead to perplexity.

Chunky further discussed how the harsh comments and cyberbullying on social media initially took a toll on their family. He put it simply: “At first, it was really hurtful and unsettling for everyone. However, I told myself, ‘This is just an online platform, not a person. Why should we let it affect us so much?’

As a devoted supporter, I acknowledge that this platform is made up of genuine individuals, yet it’s important to remember that it can be removed or overlooked when needed. While encountering unfavorable comments might be disheartening for any parent like me, Chunky helpfully emphasized that trolling is an inherent aspect of the business and is unlikely to abate.

Chunky Panday is preparing for his upcoming venture, Housefull 5, which brings him together once more with Akshay Kumar and a group of gifted performers.

The upcoming comedy movie is being directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. As the fifth film in the well-known Housefull series, it’s expected to bring more humor and fun. In the meantime, Ananya will appear in Kesari: Chapter 2 next.
