On Feb.21, the crypto world had a collective “Oh no, not again!” moment when Bybit got hit with a $1.4 billion hack by the notorious Lazarus Group. Turns out, these guys were prepping for months like it was the crypto Olympics. 🏅

According to the blockchain sleuths at Chainalysis, North Korean cyber shenanigans took a nosedive after July1,2024. This sudden drop in hacking activities was more suspicious than a villain twirling their mustache. 🕵️‍♂️

Eric Jardine, the Sherlock Holmes of cybercrimes at Chainalysis, was all like, “Guys, this is not normal.” He pointed out how the slowdown coincided with some geopolitical drama involving Russia and DPRK. You know, the kind of stuff that makes you go, “Hmm, what are they up to?” 🤔
