Once his weapon breaks, Viper inserts one of Hismar’s scales into the wound on his arm. This triggers a transformation, leading us to the next encounter with the mutated beast. He now possesses an array of ferocious attacks and a unique ability that turns him into a terrifying horror creature. Be vigilant for opportunities and watch out for his transformed arm.

This transformation of his weapon makes it harder for you to block or dodge effectively when he’s around a third of his health remaining.

In fighting Rangkus, many of his powerful strikes require lengthy wind-ups, making it challenging as he can follow your movements to dodge. Therefore, some trial and error becomes an integral part of the gameplay. However, luckily, when he shoots arrows from his mace weapon, they’re quite straightforward to anticipate for both blocking and dodging. As a human boss, he has a knack for recovering stamina consistently, so it’s essential to keep applying pressure to stun him for a devastating attack.

As Apprentice Trokka under the tutelage of Ozma, I wield water magic and have a soft spot for incorporating jellyfish into my offensive strategies. In combat, I employ a blend of up-close assaults with my umbrella staff and distant attacks using frost spells. The jellyfish are primarily used defensively; if you find yourself within their blast radius, they detonate, causing significant damage.

One of her deadliest tactics involves summoning jellyfish around the edges, followed by swiftly casting frost spells. As a sorceress, she often relies on long-range, somewhat predictable attacks due to their trajectory. However, she becomes susceptible and recoils when you execute precise blocks or engage in close combat. These instances provide opportunities for shifting the battle’s tide in your favor.

Particularly focus on severing its larger clawed appendages as this will neutralize Aratra’s lethal poison and reduce its striking range. Once both large limbs are removed, the monster is nearly defeated. However, be vigilant since it may still attempt to bite, ensnare you in webs, or poison you with its jaws.

This monster is a personification of chaos. Its attacks are severe, the combos are relentless, and timing your responses accurately will be quite challenging.

Among the rare benefits in his relentless assault, it’s worth noting that occasionally, the beast collides with an obstacle or temporarily stops after a ferocious attack. These pauses are substantial enough for you to deliver a continuous barrage of potent blows, aiming to deplete its health and endurance.

As the fiery area-of-effect (AOE) attack persists, you should climb the ladder at the back and shift to a different level to continue the battle. Following this, he performs a smaller replica of the same attack, so now you need to be vigilant not only about the lava but also his relentless combos.

Its extended range and versatile moves make it the perfect weapon for reaching Hismar’s head and emerging victorious from this epic battle.

Once you reduce Hismar’s health to half, prepare for an intensified phase two of the battle. This phase initiates with a lightning storm, followed by Hismar soaring around the arena while exhaling flames infused with chaos.
