Last year saw the debut of “The Valley,” a spin-off from the popular series “Vanderpump Rules.” Initially, it focused on the lives of alumni Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute as they adjusted to suburban life. However, when the show comes back this summer, it will continue the legacy of “Vanderpump” all by itself, since the original show has concluded and a new cast-led reboot is in progress.
It’s been speculated among fans that the Vanderpump cast might move to The Valley, and indeed Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, Scheana Shay, and Brock Davies appear in season two. However, there are varied opinions about whether the two casts will merge permanently.

Fans have been discussing the possibility that the Vanderpump cast might relocate to The Valley, and it’s true that Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, Scheana Shay, and Brock Davies are featured in season two. But as for a permanent merge of the two casts, there seem to be differing views on this matter.
Previously starring on the show “Vanderpump” until 2020, Taylor expressed his hope that “some, not all” of the original cast members might appear on the new series “The Valley>”, with a special preference for Schwartz to have a more prominent role within the main cast.
Given that he’s my closest friend, it’s only natural that I’d want him alongside me during the show,” he said to The Hollywood Reporter at the L.A. premiere on Thursday. “I’ll go to great lengths to bring him here because he gels well with everyone. Since Tom and I are the only unattached ones, another single guy would be a perfect addition to the cast.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled that Kent and Shay have been given the green light to join our gaming show permanently. They’re not just my on-screen buddies, but off-camera pals too, and our kids are growing up together. My friend Janet Caperna, along with Michelle Saniei, thinks it’s a great idea. In fact, Jason Caperna, her husband, put it perfectly: “Having them around is like having friends over, telling them to leave when the cameras aren’t rolling and then asking them to come back… So why not just keep them here all the time?
Some of the cast members seem less eager to welcome the Vanderpump team, as Danny Booko stated, “I’m not sure how much further we can take it. We already have a rather large group, and I believe we stand quite strong on our own. Adding one or two more is acceptable, but I don’t think we need any more than that.
As a fan myself, I’d express it like this: “I feel like our group is already quite large with the current cast, and as you’ll soon find out in this season, we don’t need any additional drama. However, Scheana has always been part of our circle, so if she drops by, it would make sense. As for the others from ‘Vanderpump Rules’, I can’t really picture them fitting in here, but Schwartz might be an exception. The rest of the Vanderpump crew, I’m not so sure.
Without delving into specifics, this current period brings significant shifts within the group. Doute is now engaged to Luke Broderick, while Taylor and Cartwright, as well as Saniei and Jesse Lally, have parted ways. It’s worth noting that Taylor spent the end of last year in rehab for battling cocaine and alcohol addiction.
Taylor expressed that the upcoming season of the show is incredibly authentic. He shared that over the past year, he has greatly changed and regrets his past self. Watching the first episodes was challenging for him as it brought up strong emotions because he no longer recognizes himself and feels embarrassed by his former actions.
Speaking for herself, Cartwright expressed that transitioning into season two was quite challenging due to the complexities between her and Jax. However, she feels significantly improved now, having weathered the storm for some time, which has allowed her to accumulate immense strength and resilience.
Booko described this season as a “radiant mix of rainbows and butterflies, blossoming flowers, filled with positive energy — but in reality, it was anything but. While there were moments like Luke and Kristen’s engagement that brought some peace, the overall atmosphere was more like an uncontrolled fire in a dumpster; let’s be honest about it.
The Valley season two premieres Tuesday on Bravo.
