A Laptop Without Wi-Fi, Exercising With Yoga Mats And Phone Calls With Ye: How Diddy’s Days Have Been Spent In Prison

Since his arrest in New York at the end of 2024, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has been incarcerated, with his trial set for May. His legal team is working diligently on building their case alongside him, as he adapts to a lifestyle that’s starkly contrasting from his usual one. Recently, the public has gained more understanding of Combs’ prison life, following the release of a new report which discloses details about phone calls, limited internet access, and other aspects.

What It’s Apparently Like For P. Diddy Behind Bars?

The Metropolitan Detention Center, located in Brooklyn, is where Sean Combs is currently staying. This correctional facility accommodates numerous inmates, including suspected murderer Luigi Mangione, who are being kept within its walls. As per a report from The New York Times, Combs’ cell is situated on 4 North, a section of the prison that holds approximately 20 men in total. In contrast to other parts of the facility, this area appears to be less restrictive, as inmates are said to have some freedom to move around within a dormitory-style setup, and there’s even an area equipped with exercise balls and mats for their use.

If Diddy enjoys yoga or other physical activities, he must find time to do so amidst his frequent meetings with his legal team, who are examining his federal charges and multiple lawsuits. The New York Times states that Diddy meets with his lawyers regularly, utilizing a daily-accessible laptop from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m in designated rooms. Notably, he’s unable to access the wi-fi, allegedly at the instruction of his legal advisors. Although it seems that Diddy spends a lot of time with his team, they aren’t his only conversation partners.

In recent weeks, Puff Daddy has been trending, largely due to his conversation with Kanye West. During this chat, these two musicians boosted each other’s spirits. Moreover, Diddy expressed gratitude towards West for watching over his kids during his time in prison and also urged him to keep producing music. West has consistently shown admiration for Puffy, often drawing parallels between the two. It’s worth mentioning that phone calls from detention centers, such as the one made by Diddy, are limited to 15 minutes and may be monitored by the government.

As a film enthusiast, I’ve got to say, up until now, the toughest aspect of my imprisonment has been the food. To my surprise, they served me quite an appetizing Christmas meal – cornish hen, macaroni and cheese, and more! But New Year’s Day was another story; I was presented with a choice between a chicken sandwich or a chickpea burger. Those may seem like minor issues, but trust me, there are far bigger challenges on my proverbial plate at the moment.

What’s Going On With Diddy’s Upcoming Trial?

In March 2024, Sean Combs’ homes in the United States were searched by federal authorities as part of an alleged sex-trafficking investigation. Now, he is being indicted on various federal charges, including sex trafficking, transporting individuals for prostitution, arson, racketeering, and more. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison. However, at this point, Diddy has pleaded not guilty to these allegations.

The rapper has asserted his innocence regarding a series of lawsuits that have been brought against him. Numerous individuals have alleged various offenses against him, such as sexual assault and sex-trafficking. One of the most recent claims comes from an individual who accuses Sean Combs of mistreatment and embarrassment during his son’s birthday party in 2015. The lawsuit names other celebrities like LeBron James, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, among others, who have all stated that they were not present when the alleged abuse occurred.

Starting from May 5 in New York, Diddy’s sex-trafficking trial commences. Recently, his legal team submitted documents asking for the details of various lawsuits not to be included in this case. Regarding further information about Diddy’s prison time, it remains uncertain whether it will be disclosed.
