Just recently, the movie “Jaat” made its debut on the big screen and has been garnering positive reactions from viewers. However, an unexpected turn of events occurred when a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against actors Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and Vineet Kumar Singh, all related to a particular scene in the film. Recently, actor Sunny Deol teamed up with director Gopichand Malineni for an action-thriller titled “Jaat.” The film also features Randeep Hooda and Vineet Kumar Singh and is currently performing well at the box office. Unfortunately, the production faced trouble when a complaint was filed against the main characters due to a scene that some felt disrespected a particular religious group’s sensitivities. In response, the filmmakers expressed regret over the situation and confirmed that the offending scene had been taken out.
On April 18, 2025, Tollywood director Gopichand Malineni shared on Instagram that a particular scene in their movie had received negative feedback. As a result, they decided to delete this scene from the film immediately.
Jaat makers delete problematic scene that hurt religious sentiments:
What our statement continues to express is that we never intended to offend any religious sensitivities. We are truly sorry for any harm caused, promptly removing the questionable scene from the movie. We extend our heartfelt apologies to all those whose faith has been inadvertently injured.
Based on a report from The Times of India, an official complaint (First Information Report) has been filed with the police in Jalandhar against the male actors, director, and producers of the film “Jaat”. This complaint alleges that a particular scene in the recently released action movie has upset members of the Christian community under section 299 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).
The person speaking to NDTV stated that the filmmakers intentionally premiered the movie during the sacred time of Good Friday and Easter, hoping it would provoke outrage among the community and lead to nationwide riots and chaos. They further requested an outright ban on the film’s screening.
