Interestingly, you might not know that Ranbir himself admitted to feeling like he was underachieving compared to Alia’s exceptional abilities.

On April 14, 2022, Ranbir and Alia officially tied the knot, having been together for five years prior. This year marks their third anniversary as a married couple. In an interview with Rajeev Masand in 2020, while they were living together as stars, Ranbir revealed that during lockdown, Alia enrolled in various courses, whereas he spent time with family and enjoyed watching movies and shows on TV.

He mentioned that his girlfriend Alia is quite the accomplished individual, having taken almost every available course, ranging from guitar lessons to screenwriting. He often finds himself feeling like a underachiever compared to her. However, he explained that due to a family crisis, he didn’t attend any classes. Instead, he spent most of his time reading, bonding with family, and watching approximately two to three films each day,” Kapoor shared.

Speaking of his wedding plans previously, Ranbir mentioned that if not for the pandemic, they would have gotten married by now. “I wouldn’t want to tempt fate with my words. I hope to complete that milestone in my life as soon as possible,” he concluded.

It’s intriguing to note that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt started their romantic journey during the pre-production phase of their debut film, Brahmastra, which came out in the same year they got married (2022). Their daughter, Raha Kapoor, was born on November 6, 2022, and she is now 3 years old. Currently, RK and Alia are collaborating once again on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming production titled Love & War, set to hit theaters on Eid 2026. Vicky Kaushal is also part of this eagerly awaited film.

At the same time, Ranbir is busy working on Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and Ramayana 2, following which he will appear in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal Park. Dhoom 4 is another major project for him. On the other hand, Alia is preparing for the release of her large-scale spy action thriller Alpha. This YRF Spy Universe film, featuring Sharvari and Bobby Deol, is set to premiere in cinemas on Christmas 2025.
