Gioteck TX5+ RGB Gaming Headset review – “Does your phone have an audio port?”

  • This headset has an audio jack?!
  • Fun, colorful lights
  • Great sound quality

In the past, it was common for every mobile device to have a physical audio port, allowing me to neatly coil my earphones around my phone. However, as technology advanced towards more wireless items and charging became essential, I found myself questioning the trend. An amusing incident occurred when I had to buy new earphones at an airport because mine were wireless and dead, only to find that they too needed charging. The Gioteck TX5+ RGB Gaming Headset is a plug-in headset, so ensure your phone has an audio port for compatibility. While there are a few phones with this feature, if yours is among them, you might appreciate this headset.

The Gioteck TX5+ RGB Gaming Headset sports a sleek black design with an illuminated ring around the ear cups that pulsates in various colors. Conveniently located on the left ear cup is a button to switch this feature on or off, close by the volume control and charging port. This headset requires a USB-C cable for charging (unfortunately, it doesn’t come included). The integrated microphone can be extended when needed, offering a reasonable length and not too overwhelming intensity.

The ear cushions are plushy and cozy, providing ample room for larger ears. Additionally, there’s a headband strap that prevents direct contact with harsh plastic, ensuring overall comfort when using the headset.

The audio quality on the Gioteck TX5+ RGB gaming headset is good. It actually was much louder, by default, than my current pair of earbuds. The audio quality was great too. The microphone works, no complaints there either, so it’s a decent headset. The only real issue is that it cannot be used wirelessly, so a lot of phones won’t be able to connect to it.
