Cannes Lineup Adds Kristen Stewart Directorial Debut, Jennifer Lawrence Starring ‘Die, My Love’

This year’s Cannes Film Festival lineup just got a little splashier.

Kristen Stewart’s highly anticipated directorial project titled “The Chronology of Water” and the movie “Die, My Love“, featuring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson under Lynne Ramsay’s direction, have been scheduled for screening. The former, featuring Imogen Poots, will be showcased in the Un Certain Regard section of the festival, while the latter will compete within the festival’s main competition section.

Additionally, the competition segment features “Mother and Child,” a new work by Iranian director Saeed Roustaee. Earlier, his film “Leila’s Brothers” contended for the Palme d’Or at the 2022 festival. Meanwhile, Ethan Coen’s “Honey Don’t!” will debut in the Midnight section of the festival. This movie is a road trip story starring Aubrey Plaza, Margaret Qualley, and Chris Evans.

I’m thrilled to be part of the growing roster, as our newest addition to the lineup now stands alongside anticipated works by filmmakers like Richard Linklater, Wes Anderson, Julie Ducournau, and Spike Lee. What a stellar group!
