The talented actor is now set to appear in another historical drama titled Mahavatar, where he will portray Chiranjeevi Parashurama. Dinesh Vijan, producer of the upcoming movie under Maddock Films, has revealed details about the project, describing it as their “most ambitious film” to date.
On May 2nd, 2025, Dinesh Vijan attended the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai. During a discussion, he highlighted the contrasts between Hollywood and Bollywood filmmaking. He emphasized that American films have invested significantly to establish a global audience, whereas in his opinion, distribution is crucial for success in Bollywood – as he put it, “Content may be king, but distribution is God.
In second thoughts, Dinesh Vijan expressed that post-pandemic, Hindi filmmakers have gained an understanding of creating films for everyday people. Speaking about his movies Stree 2 and Chhaava, which were hits, he said, “Stree and Chhaava are representations of stories deeply rooted in our own culture, as authentic as it gets, and they have delved into this local essence.
Dinesh Vijan explained further, “If a movie earns well within its home market, it provides the funds necessary for growth.
In relation to my upcoming project, Mahavatar with Vicky Kaushal, I’m excited to share that we’re embarking on a venture to create what might be our most ambitious production yet. The technology required to produce a top-tier film is at our disposal, and given the success of our previous works, I believe the risk is worth taking.
