It’s unusual, but I haven’t expressed this thought before and probably won’t again; however, Sunday nights seem to be the ideal fit for post-apocalyptic TV narratives. (Coincidentally, both The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 premiere and The Last of Us‘ “Day One” are airing concurrently.) There’s a certain appeal to witnessing a devastated world before the grind of Tuesday morning sets in. This is even more true when the storylines revolve around characters we’ve just met, yet have grown fond of instantly.
With great excitement, let me extend a warm welcome to you all as we delve into my latest live commentary on “The Last of Us”. In this session, I’ll be sharing my thoughts as we progress through Episode 4, witnessing the much-anticipated entrance of Jeffrey Wright, portraying the formidable character Isaac. Let’s embark on this thrilling journey together! Enjoy the ride and thank you for joining me!

Welcome Note
I’m eagerly anticipating the revelations that await Isaac’s followers and adversaries in this episode. For the moment, I’ll keep quiet to avoid spoiling the surprise by expressing my own expectations.
Isaac Is Here, A.K.A. FEDRA Soldiers Suck Just As Much In Live-Action
In a more palatable phrasing: “The Last of Us” skillfully introduces characters whose demise is deeply felt, but the FEDRA team members are quite another story – they should be dismantled immediately, with the exception of JEFFREY WRIGHT, whom I truly admire. Apologies for my unguarded language earlier. He’s simply exceptional in this role.
In the video game, the esteemed actor breathed vitality into the character of Isaac, and further enhances his presence as he takes on the live-action role. Notably, his performances are particularly effective at making arrogant individuals retract their statements.
