In the third season, Fire Country wrapped up with an edge-of-your-seat ending that included a huge cliffhanger hinting at the departure of several recurring actors. The highly successful CBS show has faced numerous potential departures and character deaths over its three seasons, including Sabina Gadecki’s Cara’s sad demise in Fire Country season 2 and the countless life-threatening situations that lead actor Bode Donovan has been put through.
In Fire Country’s third season, just like any other, some characters may depart. The season finale presents a precarious situation for multiple characters where their survival is uncertain, and it’s probable that at least two won’t survive into Season 4.
Vince Leone (Played by Billy Burke) Is Leaving – But Why?
Among many “Fire Country” viewers, Billy Burke’s character Vince Leone, also known as Bode’s father, is widely admired as one of the top-notch personalities in the show. In fact, he holds a significant role as the Battalion Chief within Cal Fire.
It appears that Vince is in a challenging situation following the dramatic conclusion of Season 3, which leaves him imprisoned within the flaming Buena Vista memory care facility along with his spouse, Sharon, and his father, Walter.
It was further troubling news when Deadline announced that Billy Burke would no longer be a regular cast member on Fire Country starting from Season 3. This suggests quite heavily that the character of Vince may not make it through the season finale’s unfolding incidents.
Vince is set to leave soon, following his recent reunion with his father, Walter, during Fire Country Season 3, Episode 17. Learn more about the entire cast here.
Gabriela Perez (Played by Stephanie Arcila) Is Also Exiting
In simpler terms, the character played by Stephanie Arcila named Gabriela Perez, who was previously in a relationship with Bode and works as a paramedic, will be leaving Fire Country at the end of Season 3.
Gabriela’s departure from the series comes as a surprise, given that her character plays a significant part in portraying the ups and downs of Bode’s romantic journey in Edgewater (their tumultuous on-off relationship being one of the show’s most captivating aspects).
In Season 3, a significant portion of my narrative unfolds around a harmful romantic entanglement I find myself in with a persistent admirer named Finn, who exhibits stalker-like behaviors.
Despite surviving the finale, Gabriela’s definite exit will create a noticeable void in Fire Country during Season 4 and beyond.
During an interview with Deadline, Arcila expressed that she wouldn’t rule out the possibility of reprising her role as Gabriela in future episodes, saying “I don’t say ‘never’.
I’m not one to rule anything out permanently. Life often leads us down unexpected paths, and Gabriela has been a remarkable addition to my journey, both personally and professionally. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to portray a Latina character on this show, where they incorporated aspects of my culture as well as my Colombian heritage. It was truly an exhilarating experience.
Arcila’s recent remark suggests that she might make an appearance as a guest star in Season 4, should an opportunity for her return arise.
Is Jordan Calloway’s Jake Leaving Fire Country Ahead of Season 4?
In the third season of “Fire Country,” Jordan Calloway’s character, Jake, finds himself facing important decisions about his professional journey as he aspires to rise to the position of Cal Fire Battalion Chief.
Instead, the incumbent chief (Vince Leone) made it clear to him that he had no plans to step down in the near future, effectively putting any hopes of a promotion on hold.
Consequently, Jake informed Vince that he was resigning with two weeks’ notice, as he had been given the opportunity to become a captain in Butte County. This implies that Jake might be departing from Station 42 and Fire Country earlier than expected.
Although this event occurs, it’s possible that Jake won’t relocate to Butte County following Season 3, given Vince’s upcoming exit.
It’s highly likely that Vince might suffer a tragic fate due to being stuck in a burning structure. Consequently, if this unfortunate event occurs, the Cal Fire Battalion Chief position would be left empty. In such a scenario, Jake could step into the role at the beginning of Season 4 and potentially remain at Edgewater for good.
Is Cole Leaving Fire Country After Season 3?
In the season finale of Fire Country, Tye White’s character, Cole (who hails from Three Rock), was on the verge of graduating, receiving parole, and then the campfire incident occurred.
Fortunately, Captain Eve of Three Rock took swift action and mobilized her team towards safety. Although they couldn’t rescue their camp, Eve’s decisive move to protect the crew resulted in Cole’s survival. With his parole granted, Cole would eventually be reunited with his family.
Is Diane Farr’s Sharon Leaving Fire Country?
In the TV show “Fire Country”, the character Sharon Leone, portrayed by Diane Farr, is Bode’s mother and holds a high position as the Division Chief of Cal Fire. During Season 1, she experienced a significant alarm when she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease.
Despite surviving due to her brother Luke’s kidney donation, Sharon’s life remains precarious in the dramatic finale of Fire Country Season 3, as she found herself trapped alongside her husband Vince and father-in-law Walter within a burning building.
Currently, it’s unclear what will happen to Sharon in the storyline, but Farr is not among the actors confirmed to exit “Fire Country” after Season 3. This implies that she may continue being part of the series (provided the show creators haven’t planned a shocking twist like keeping her character’s untimely demise a secret).
Is Audrey Leaving Fire Country?
In the upcoming third season of “Fire Country,” Leven Rambin portrays Audrey James, formerly an inmate turned firefighter who currently dates Bode. However, by the end of Fire Country’s third season finale, Audrey finds herself in a troubled state.
It’s been discovered that it was Audrey who fired a shot at Finn, hitting him in the chest, as a means of protecting Gabriela when he attempted to kidnap her.
Audrey chooses to surrender herself, but the situation doesn’t seem promising given her previous convictions.
Since Audrey plays a significant part as Bode’s girlfriend in the series ‘Fire Country’, it seems likely that she won’t be departing from the show any time in the near future.
Fire Country Season 4 could begin with her in jail as Bode finds ways to get her out.
