Actress Mandy Moore, recognized primarily by viewers as a cast member of the NBC series “This Is Us”, has teamed up with comedian Nate Bargatze in the upcoming comedy film “The Breadwinner”, which is being directed by Eric Appel for TriStar Pictures.
Furthermore, up-and-coming actors Stella Grace Fitzgerald (from “Rebel Moon”), Birdie Borria (from “The Fabelmans”), and Charlotte Ann Tucker (from “Thunderbolts”) have been added to the cast to portray the on-screen couple’s daughters in the movie.
This version maintains the original meaning but is slightly rephrased for better readability and flow.
Comedian Bargatze, known as one of the globe’s leading stand-up performers, collaborates on the screenplay and is associated with the movie production alongside Dan Lagna. Previously at Marvel Studios, Jeremy Latcham is also involved in production through his own Wonder Project label.
The tale unfolds as Bargatze’s character experiences a dramatic shift in life when his wife, portrayed by Moore, secures a deal on Shark Tank. As the family’s long-standing provider, he finds himself transitioning into a stay-at-home dad. This new role soon reveals to him that he is in over his depth.
For six seasons, Moore played Rebecca Pearson on the acclaimed NBC drama series “This Is Us,” receiving numerous Emmy, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice nominations. Most recently, she took on the role of investigative journalist Benita Alexander in Peacock’s “Dr. Death,” working alongside Edgar Ramirez.
Apart from being recognized for voicing Rapunzel in Disney’s movie Tangled and its various adaptations on TV and video games, Moore has also been heard in Hulu’s popular animated series Happy Family USA, a creation of Ramy Youssef and Pam Brady. Notably, she is represented by talent agencies such as Gersh, Untitled Entertainment, and Johnson Shapiro.
Fitzgerald, Borria, and Tucker are each represented by different talent agencies. Specifically, Fitzgerald is under the management of Gersh and Luber Roklin Entertainment, while Borria is represented by DDO Artists Agency and Brave Artists. Lastly, Tucker’s representation includes The Osbrink Agency and New Beginnings Entertainment.
