Shocking Twist Revealed: ‘Resident Alien’ Season 4 Premiere Date Finally Announced!

It has been more than a year since the television series Resident Alien stopped airing after wrapping up Season 3 in April 2024, but the long wait for Season 4 is about to end! Starting this coming Friday, June 6 at 11 p.m. ET/PT, you can catch your beloved extraterrestrial on USA and Syfy networks. This show first premiered in 2021, featuring Alan Tudyk as an alien from another planet who is here to eliminate humans but unexpectedly develops empathy for the human race after a crash-landing in the quaint Colorado town of Patience.

In the fourth season, Harry and his infant daughter Bridget find themselves imprisoned on the Grey Moonbase, as a Mantid Alien, who’s disguised as Harry Vanderspeigle on Earth, creates chaos. Harry eventually breaks free from the Greys and returns to Earth to confront the Mantid Alien, but realizes he might lack the necessary resources to complete his mission. Meanwhile, Asta and D’arcy grapple with concealing crucial information from Ben and Kate, who are frantic about the strange events they’ve been experiencing. Sheriff Mike and Deputy Liv work tirelessly to unravel a series of inexplicable deaths in Patience, suspecting that these incidents might not have human origins.

‘Resident Alien’ Has Been a Big Hit with Fans and Critics

The TV series adaptation of the Dark Horse comics titled “Resident Alien,” written by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, has been a big hit so far, earning praise from both viewers and critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it boasts an impressive overall rating of 97%, while its Popcornmeter stands slightly lower at 86%. As Samantha Nelson of Polygon puts it, the show is like a blend of “Invader Zim” and “Northern Exposure,” with a touch of “Ted Lasso” added for good measure. Terry Terrones from the Colorado Springs Gazette describes it as a series that’s “hilariously funny, filled with heartfelt moments, and, much like its protagonist Harry, surprisingly sincere.

As the show has kept its audience engaged throughout three successful seasons and grown its fanbase, it’s intriguing to predict how Season 4 will be received. While Season 3 garnered positive feedback from most viewers, some noted a slight diminishing of its initial luster. Will this year manage to regain the favor of these critics? We’ll need to tune in on June 6 to discover the answer.

Currently, you can stream all previously aired episodes of “Resident Alien” on both Peacock and Netflix. Don’t forget to watch the trailer for Season 4 right over here.
