As a devoted admirer, I’ve witnessed Aamir Khan’s career journey marked by peaks and valleys. Yet, nothing has ever deterred him from persisting in Bollywood. Over time, he’s crafted strategies that not only benefit him but also the team he collaborates with. In a recent conversation, this cinematic titan shared that he forgoes payment when his films fail to generate profits, as evidenced by Laal Singh Chaddha.
Aamir Khan’s diverse career in acting, directing, and producing has created an impressive body of work, showcasing his dedication as an artist. Given his experience, he understands the hard work required to create a successful movie. Consequently, he plans his projects meticulously to ensure that the producers he collaborates with are not burdened excessively.
Similar to past traditions where artists would request compensation from the audience following their performance, Aamir also receives his remuneration only when his films generate profits. In an interview with ABP Live, the meticulous Aamir shared that he adopts this approach in his professional life as well.

In simpler terms, Khan explained that his compensation is contingent upon the success of the project. He used an analogy from the movie “Laal Singh Chaddha” to illustrate this point, saying that just as in that film, he doesn’t receive payment when there are no profits generated. Furthermore, he emphasized that if the film underperforms at the box office, it should be his sole responsibility.
When the host suggested his work style could lead producers not to compensate artists fairly, the seasoned Bollywood actor swiftly replied, “Everyone has their unique approach to work and thought process.” Additionally, during a project, he doesn’t view it as working for a specific number of days, so he believes he shouldn’t be paid only for those days.
Yet, some individuals within the industry maintain a highly professional approach, billing according to the number of workdays spent on a film, irrespective of its ultimate success or failure.
In terms of his professional life, Aamir Khan will soon appear in the film “Sitaare Zameen Par”. Furthermore, he’s eagerly anticipating the commencement of work on his long-cherished project, “Mahabharat.
