10 Marvel Storylines Fans Crave in the New Ultimate Universe!

As a devoted fan, I find myself immersed in the captivating tale spun by Reed Richards, the original creator, who’s managed to weave his own unique universe devoid of traditional protectors. This new Ultimate Universe has been my home for a year now, and it’s brimming with refreshing renditions of characters I adore, with Iron Lad and Spider-Man standing out. Iron Lad, in his wisdom, has rallied the new Ultimates of this world with a noble purpose – to revive all heroes whose destinies were altered due to the Maker’s manipulations with time.

In the upcoming year of Marvel’s new Ultimate Universe, fans are eager for old Marvel events to be reimagined in this fresh universe. These stories could help develop existing characters further or even set heroes against one another, similar to the iconic “Civil War” and “Avengers vs. X-Men” storylines. However, these tales would take on a unique twist when depicted in titles like Ultimates, Ultimate X-Men, and Ultimate Spider-Man.

Civil War

In expanding his new Ultimates team, it’s not necessarily a negative development. Yet, with additional members involved, there might be an increase in potential conflicts. Despite functioning harmoniously up until now, underlying tensions or rivalries could be emerging among the current small team members.

Originally, we had the conflicts known as Civil War and its continuation, Civil War II. These epic battles saw Iron Man fighting against Captain America, followed by a confrontation with Captain Marvel. A single significant dispute – be it a contentious superhero registration law or the destiny of an Inhuman with psychic abilities – can splinter the existing group of Ultimates into their own version of “Ultimate Civil War.

Amazing Spider-Man “Hunted”

In the fifth installment of the “Amazing Spider-Man” series, Kraven the Hunter resurfaced, bestowing upon Spider-Man a replica of his famous black suit. He then captured Spider-Man, along with other characters like the Lizard, Gibbon, and Black Cat in Central Park, transforming it into his personal hunting terrain.

In the ongoing “Ultimate Spider-Man” comic book series, Kraven abducted Peter Parker and Harry Osborn’s Green Goblin, joining forces with the Kingpin and other New York City crime bosses. The rivalry between Kraven and Spider-Man is just starting in this Universe, but a replay of the “Hunted” storyline could be on the horizon if they have more run-ins – assuming this new Ultimate Universe continues for some time.

Unworthy Thor

In the universe known as Earth-616, the Mighty Thor momentarily lost control over Mjolnir, causing him to lose his powers simultaneously. During this time, Thor was deemed “Unworthy,” and Jane Foster stepped up to wield Mjolnir instead, assuming the role of a female Thor. Both Thor and Lady Sif are crucial members of the Ultimates team in this reality.

Although readers haven’t had extensive exposure to this fresh incarnation of Asgard yet, Loki has made an appearance in the Ultimates series. The plot could potentially delve into the possibility of Thor losing his hammer, which would offer writers a chance to unveil the new Ultimate iteration of Asgard and the Nine Realms. This scenario might also introduce a new character as the hammer’s wielder, such as the Silver Surfer, who once wielded Mjolnir in an alternative universe.

Avengers “Kang Dynasty”

In the “Young Avengers” comic book series, Iron Lad was not just any Iron Man, but rather a younger incarnation of the villain Kang who had traveled from the future. Unlike most previous versions of Kang, this one was a hero. Given this unique twist, Marvel might want to reintroduce Kang in this new universe.

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving past Kang on the silver screen, it’s high time that this iconic Avengers adversary receives more attention in the comic books. A fresh “Kang Dynasty” could serve as an ideal platform to disrupt the schemes of Iron Lad and Doctor Doom as they strive to safeguard the Ultimate Universe.

Avengers vs. X-Men

In the fresh universe of Ultimate Marvel, the teams of Ultimate X-Men and Ultimates have yet to cross paths, but both are growing larger. With official appearances by revamped versions of Wolverine and Jean Grey in this new reality, Marvel now has the components to reenact a storyline similar to Avengers vs. X-Men within their revitalized comics.

In the comic series Avengers vs. X-Men, there was a disagreement between the Avengers and mutants regarding a situation involving the Phoenix Force. Eventually, Cyclops linked with the Phoenix and killed Professor Charles Xavier. If the Ultimate Universe continues for a few more years of publication, it seems almost certain that the Ultimates and X-Men will have to fight over the Phoenix or some other issue––a possible outcome given the story’s continuation.

“World War Hulk”

At the culmination of the initial “Ultimates” saga, the squad engaged in combat with the Ultimate Hulk – a Bruce Banner who appears to have mastered his Hulk persona, utilizing it for martial arts training and obtaining the Iron Fist’s mystical power. With their formidable powers, immense strength, and gamma-irradiated companions, they confronted this formidable adversary.

Marvel Comics might devise a fresh “World War Hulk” saga. They’ve already established the narrative groundwork. A new Hulk has emerged, this time in the form of She-Hulk who is part of The Ultimates. Additionally, there’s an island inhabited by people exposed to gamma radiation, which could potentially develop into either allies or formidable adversaries.

Amazing Spider-Man “The Night Gwen Stacy Died”

In the universe of Ultimate Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy is among the key characters, but in this particular storyline, she’s married to Harry Osborn instead of Peter Parker. Interestingly, in this reality, Harry has taken on the role of the Green Goblin, employing an artificial intelligence derived from his father’s brain as a technological foundation for his sophisticated suit.

In the revised Ultimate Universe, Marvel might deviate from the usual by having Gwen Stacy, who was usually a victim of the Green Goblin, take on a surprising role. Instead of mourning the death of Harry Osborn’s Green Goblin, she could instead turn against Spider-Man, blaming him for her loss, presenting an intriguing twist to this narrative event.

Iron Man “Armor Wars”

In the well-known Iron Man comic series, titled “Armor Wars,” Tony Stark confronts a situation where his adversaries gain access to technology and data from Stark Industries. This results in an intense competition for technological advancements in weaponry, with characters like Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, and others becoming significant players.

In the realm of possibilities, the “Armor Wars” storyline might transition into a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) production, either a movie or a mini-series. Alternatively, Marvel Comics could effortlessly reintroduce this concept in “The Ultimates“. Here, Iron Lad is engaged in a struggle to resurrect forgotten heroes and safeguard Howard Stark’s corporation, as the abundance of Stark/Stane technology already in circulation could easily trigger a fresh round of Armor Wars.

Ultimate Cataclysm

The “Cataclysm” incident transported Galactus, a significant character from the primary Marvel Comics universe, into the Ultimate Universe. In an attempt to devour this new universe, Galactus engaged in a fierce battle. During this conflict, Reed Richards (then known as The Maker) facilitated the opening of a gateway to the Negative Zone. It was Thor who shoved the cosmic entity through this portal.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but imagine the impact Marvel might create by introducing a new iteration of Galactus into their Ultimate Universe. Currently, the power dynamics are relatively balanced, but the arrival of Galactus in a fresh “Cataclysm” event could potentially disrupt every single one of these exciting comic series. The consequences would be catastrophic!

Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows

In the “Ultimate Spider-Man” comic series, Peter Parker’s son, Richard, has recently taken up wearing an advanced suit similar to the one Peter used. This transformation sees him stepping into the role of a new black-suited Spider-Man. With Mary Jane and a daughter in this tight-knit family, “Ultimate Spider-Man” provides the foundation for revisiting a cherished miniseries from the modern “Secret Wars” era, titled “Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows”.

In the story “Renew Your Vows“, Mary Jane adopts the superhero identity of Spinneret, while their daughter assumes the role of Spiderling. This narrative is set in an alternate universe where Peter Parker (Spiderman) and Mary Jane Watson enjoy a peaceful life together, catering to fans’ desires for their happy union.
