Did You Know Logout’s Babil Khan was part of Irrfan Khan, Deepika Padukone’s Piku? Here’s what he did in the film

Babil Khan, the son of the late renowned actor Irrfan Khan, has been creating a stir with his outstanding performance in the movie “Logout”. He’s now shared insights about his role during the filming of “Piku”, where he worked as a camera intern alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and his father.

Over time, the movie Piku, directed by Shoojit Sircar, has become a cult favorite. To commemorate its 10th anniversary, it was re-released in theaters. Babil Khan, who previously worked as an intern in the camera department of the film, recently discussed the deep impression Sircar’s storytelling left on him during an interview with News 18.

Apart from discussing their relationship, the actor from “Logout” referred to the director as someone who takes on a paternal role in his life. Moreover, he mentioned that the director frequently provides him with useful suggestions and direction. Interestingly, when Shoojit comes to visit, the actor always insists on tidying up his room first before engaging in conversation.

Babil, who sometimes goes by Piku, referred to the film as a ‘masterwork’ and mentioned that it still strikes a chord with him. He also discussed a conversation between his late father, Irrfan Khan, and Deepika Padukone’s character, where the former questioned the importance of maintaining ties to one’s heritage. To Babil, this exchange has become even more pertinent over time and serves as a reminder for him about the value of remaining humble.

In simpler terms, the Qala performer mentioned that he had no idea he’d end up making acting his career. At a gathering, Irrfan was questioned about Babil’s future plans, and the deceased actor replied that his son wasn’t doing much because he was studying filmmaking at the time.

In terms of his career, Babil Khan has displayed his acting abilities in Qala and The Railway Men, and more recently appeared in the cyber-suspense series titled Logout. Alongside him, key characters are played by Rasika Dugal, Gandharv Dewan, and Nimisha Nair.

In my perspective as a lifestyle guide, I’d like to draw your attention to the gripping tale unfolded in Zee5 – a film that delves deep into the ominous aspects lurking within our digital realm. It serves as a stark reminder of the repercussions we face when our smartphone and technology use becomes excessive, subtly yet powerfully portraying how such habits can significantly influence our lives.
