Priyamani recently spoke candidly about her time working with Shah Rukh Khan on Chennai Express, sharing heartwarming tales from the film set with Humans of Bombay. One captivating story she told was about dining with the superstar inside his renowned vanity van.
Known for owning one of the most lavish vanity vans in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan extended an invitation to Priyamani (who danced with him in the popular song 1 2 3 4 Get On The Dance Floor) for dinner within his unique mobile dwelling during the fourth night of filming.
Priyamani described the van as a miniature house, filled with personal touches like photos of him and his family, all tastefully arranged. She felt right at home in this space. Upon first seeing it, she was spellbound and even received a tour before their meal together.
During Chennai Express filming, Priyamani also reminisced about playing Kaun Banega Crorepati on Shah Rukh’s iPad and helping him with dance steps. She admired his dedication and tireless work ethic, as he continued practicing for the following day even after long hours of shooting.
Their collaboration in Chennai Express produced a chart-topping song, with fans appreciating their chemistry and energy. Later, Priyamani joined Shah Rukh again in Jawan, where he played a double role. Directed by Atlee, the film also starred Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, and Sanya Malhotra, amassing over Rs. 1,100 crore worldwide.
Currently, Priyamani is getting ready for her upcoming project, The Family Man Season 3. Directed by Raj and DK, this web series stars Manoj Bajpayee and will stream on Prime Video in November. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Jaideep Ahlawat also play significant roles.
In the meantime, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his upcoming film King, set to start production later this year. His daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor are part of the cast. Fans eagerly await Shah Rukh’s next release.
