Call Me Bae 2: We can’t keep calm after knowing THIS big update from Ananya Panday-led web series’ upcoming season

2024 saw me step into web series with “Call Me Bae”, where I delivered a performance that left everyone in awe, particularly within the comedy-drama genre. The series has already secured a second season, and one of my esteemed co-stars, Lisa Mishra, has recently shared an exciting update about “Call Me Bae 2” – news that has sent our anticipation levels soaring!

During a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Lisa Mishra disclosed some news about the upcoming second season of Call Me Bae. She revealed that filming is scheduled to start in the year 2025, and her team can’t wait to step back onto the set as they are all eager to continue this project.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a unique camaraderie among my peers, which we fostered during our initial phase. This special bond was largely due to the visionary leadership of our director, Colin D’Cunha, who skillfully cultivated an atmosphere where everyone was treated as an equal.

The actress added, “I know that all of us are begging to be back on the sets!”

For those unfamiliar, Lisa Mishra portrays the character of Harleen, a journalist, within the series. The ensemble additionally features Gurfateh Pirzada, Vir Das, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur in significant roles.

The story centers on the character of Bella, also known as Bae, played by Ananya Panday. This affluent young woman experiences a sudden loss of her fortune and must begin anew in Mumbai.

In September 2024, only a few days following the premiere of the first season, the creators unveiled plans for a second series. The announcement video showcased the cast and the words, “Bae is here to stay. Season two underway.” The social media post accompanying it read, “We couldn’t be happier! Bella will enchant us once more with a new season. Join us in eager anticipation for her return. Use the hashtag #CallMeBaeOnPrime as we gear up for S2.”
