Dangerous Animals is in UK and Ireland cinemas 6 June
As a devoted cinephile, I can’t help but highly recommend “Dangerous Animals” – a nail-biting, pulse-pounding thrill ride that plunges you into the heart-stopping chaos of mankind’s darkest obsession with nature’s deadliest beasts.
Drifter surfer named Zephyr left her old life behind in search of tranquility along Australia’s eastern coastline. A serendipitous, amorous encounter with another local surfer led to her, but she evaded her emotions by returning to the sea – that is until she was kidnapped by a shark-fixated serial killer who uses his victims as bait for the predators beneath. Plunged into a harrowing confrontation on board a vessel and against bloodthirsty sharks, Zephyr found herself in a gruesome battle for survival, realizing that the real menace was not the sea creatures but the twisted human: the killer himself.
Under the direction of Sean Byrne, an esteemed filmmaker known for movies like “The Loved Ones” and “The Devil’s Candy,” comes the highly anticipated movie “Dangerous Animals.” Starring Jai Courtney (“Suicide Squad,” “Terminator Genisys,” “A Good Day to Die Hard”), Hassie Harrison (“Yellowstone”), and Josh Heuston (“Dune: Prophecy”), this thrilling film will make its debut at the world-renowned Cannes Directors Fortnight. It’s a title you won’t want to miss!
