As a tech enthusiast, I can’t help but feel excited about Google potentially launching their new line of smart glasses. Since the less-than-warm reception of Google Glass, it seems Google is taking another swing at this technology. If I were to make an educated guess, I believe this new version will be more favorably received than its predecessor. I’m not claiming that Google can dethrone Meta and its Ray-Ban smart glasses immediately, but with careful planning, they could definitely leverage their existing hardware, like the Pixel devices, to make a significant impact. If Meta isn’t careful, it might find itself facing some serious competition.
In case you missed it: James Pero mentioned that Google’s President of the Android Ecosystem, Sameer Samat, recently demonstrated what appears to be a new smart glasses device.
