A player of Oblivion Remastered, notorious for swiping over a million distinct items across an extensive criminal rampage throughout Cyrodiil, experienced the consequences when their criminal lifestyle finally caught up with them.
In a Reddit post, Scribe_of_Satire commented: “For those curious about the consequences of going to prison with a fortune exceeding 2 billion, here’s your answer!” It was revealed that their criminal record held the highest bounty of 2.105 billion gold, spread across over a million stolen items.
In essence, they have a relatively clean record compared to others on the list. Their misdeeds were limited to one instance of pickpocketing an item, and they’ve never entered any property unlawfully, committed homicide or battery, or caused trouble for a solitary horse.
To anyone wondering what’d happen if you went to jail with a bounty of over 2 billion, here ya go! from r/oblivion
Despite ruling as the divine king of every Thieves’ Guild from Solitude to Black Marsh, their reign ultimately ended, resulting in a prison sentence exceeding 20 million days. This equates to approximately 55,000 years, a time frame that would have Neanderthals still thriving on Earth at present.
It seems Oblivion Remastered struggles to manage that much time. After being locked away for 50 million years, Scribe of Satire’s game started at a year that was -9,818 in Tamriel’s third era, which implies the in-game calendar may have looped back at some point. In reality, the game’s events should occur in 3E 433, but the timeline is clearly disorganized.
