Drake Shatters RIAA Diamond Certification Record with 10 Certifications

Summary

  • Drake has made history by earning his 10th RIAA Diamond certification, the most of any artist across both singles and albums
  • His latest additions to the Diamond club are the popular songs “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “Best I Ever Had”

Drake has now set a new record as the artist with the most RIAA Diamond certifications, making history with his tenth one. The Recording Industry Association of America confirmed this achievement, which underscores Drake’s unprecedented commercial triumph.

This outstanding milestone positions Drake as the initial artist to garner ten or more Diamond certifications for both his singles and albums in the U.S. His recently recognized hits “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “Best I Ever Had” have earned him entry into the exclusive Diamond club. Each Diamond certification represents sales or streams of at least 10 million units within the United States. With “Nice for What” from his album Scorpion currently holding a nine-time Platinum status, it could potentially secure Drake’s 11th Diamond award.

Reaching this achievement, Drake exceeds the record previously held by country music icon Garth Brooks and rapper Post Malone, both of whom had nine Diamond-certified albums and singles respectively. Notably, Drake is now the first artist to amass ten or more Diamond certifications across albums and singles, a feat that underscores his enduring impact on the music industry and cements his status as one of the most commercially successful and influential artists in music history.
