The following are some of the easiest ways to acquire Mandrake in the game.

  • The Beekeeper Merchant: You’ll find this particular merchant near the westernmost bridge of the river that cuts across the Horns of the South region. You can buy Mandrake from this person as long as he’s still alive and not hostile towards you.
  • You’ll run into an NPC named Jann while playing through Act 1 of the game. He has a quest for you, but is also a merchant selling a variety of items. One of these items is usually Mandrake.

To create this offering, I had to gather three essential items: Mandrake root, fresh Raspberries, and fragrant Rosemary. Once I successfully completed this ritual, the shrine bestowed upon me a unique amulet as a reward.

This magical talisman can resurrect you when you’re defeated in combat, but it shatters during the revival process. But for now, refrain from using it. You’ll want to save a few more identical talismans to solve a temple riddle later on in the game.
