Housefull 5: 11 seconds axed from Akshay Kumar starrer, what didn’t make it to final cut?

The upcoming movie Housefull 5, featuring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Ritesh Deshmukh as main actors, is generating positive buzz before its premiere. Notably, the highly anticipated trailer was recently unveiled, hinting at an enjoyable journey. As per recent news, the Cinema Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has edited 11 seconds from the film prior to issuing a U/A 16+ rating.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the producers of Housefull 5 had to tweak a few minor aspects, such as adjusting some dialogue and trimming approximately 11 seconds from certain scenes, in order to secure approval from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Initially, various adjustments were carried out prior to receiving a U/A 16+ rating. For instance, colloquial expressions like ‘nikaal dungi’ and ‘apne’ were revised. Additionally, inappropriate words such as ‘item’ and ‘haram’ were replaced with more suitable alternatives. Furthermore, it was mandated to eliminate a specific dialogue occurring approximately at the 1 hour 53-minute point.

Beyond the conversations mentioned, the movie underwent three visual edits as per the edit schedule. The scene showing ‘champagne being poured’ was reduced, while two scenes with particular hand movements were ‘appropriately adjusted’. Furthermore, a scene with ‘suggestive imagery’ was condensed by 2 seconds. In total, 11 seconds of footage were removed prior to the final edit.
