Fantastic Four: First Steps Already Set a Record, After 1 Day of Tickets Being on Sale

Fans of Marvel Studios are swiftly purchasing tickets for their upcoming release, despite the movie not hitting theaters until July 25th. Already, it’s breaking box office records. Even with only a single day of ticket sales, the film boasting an illustrious cast such as [actor names], is currently the top first-day ticket pre-seller of the year.

According to Fandango, the leading online ticket service in the U.S., Disney’s new Marvel Studios movie is breaking records for first-day advanced ticket sales among all films scheduled for 2025. The upcoming Fantastic Four film, titled “First Steps,” is expected to be a massive summer blockbuster and, interestingly, it has a running time of 130 minutes, making it the longest Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie since 2023’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Furthermore, it boasts the longest runtime of any Fantastic Four film to date.

Ticket Sales Show that Fans are “Eager”

Jerramy Hainline, Fandango’s Executive Vice President, expressed his excitement about the film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” marking a fresh start for one of Marvel’s most recognized teams. Preliminary ticket sales indicate that fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to witness these characters being reimagined for a new era.

The buzz for “First Steps” began several months ago, with a Fandango survey in December 2024 revealing that the MCU film was the second most eagerly anticipated summer movie of 2025 among over 5,000 movie enthusiasts. Additionally, comic book fans are looking forward to seeing the star’s upcoming role, as another Fandango survey of over 9,000 movie ticket buyers ranked it as the second most anticipated new performance of 2025.

First Steps reveals that the team must juggle their heroic responsibilities with the power of their family ties while protecting Earth from a destructive cosmic entity known as Galactus (Ralph Ineson), along with his mysterious emissary, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). The Fantastic Four will Return in Avengers: Doomsday

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming movie “Avengers: Doomsday”, the team from “First Steps” will find themselves in a different reality where they’ll meet both the Avengers and the New Avengers.
