In court in New York on Monday, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former girlfriend provided additional testimony during his trial for sex trafficking and racketeering. She spoke about how their relationship had deteriorated over time, experiencing a shock-induced faint upon reading Cassie Ventura’s civil lawsuit against him, and describing an aggressive assault by him several months before his September arrest last year.
Towards the closing stages of their presentation, the prosecution is about to conclude their case, at which point the victim, disguised as Jane Doe for privacy reasons, recounted her encounters with the defendant during the latter part of their three-year relationship. Last week, she testified that approximately 90% of their time was spent on “freak-offs” or what she called “hotel nights,” which were drug-induced sex parties where she claims she was forced and manipulated into participating in lengthy, explicit sexual activities that were filmed by Combs while he watched.
After the defense team requested a second trial retrial due to alleged misconduct by the prosecution, it was reported that Combs’ lawyers claimed in a letter to the judge that federal prosecutors were aware that a friend of Ventura, Bryana Bongolan, had lied about being dangled over Ventura’s balcony by Combs in 2016. However, they allowed her to testify before the jury despite this knowledge. Judge Arun Subramanian has stated he will address the matter on Tuesday.
On Monday at the court, Jane provided more testimony regarding the accusations of being forced to attend hotel nights, as alleged by her against Combs who currently covers her apartment expenses; she stated that her living situation seemed dependent on maintaining Combs’ satisfaction, which she previously mentioned was her objective in their relationship that eventually revolved around orgies.
In essence, she stated that it seemed as though the house was being used as collateral, causing her to feel pressured in a manipulative manner because it was provided by Combs. She confided in court that this situation made her feel compelled to offer sexual favors for housing. She communicated these uncomfortable feelings to him through a text expressing self-loathing. On two distinct occasions, she testified, an evening spent at a hotel involved a man donning cowboy attire and high heels, while another encounter included three men, resulting in her becoming nauseous. Afterward, Combs checked on her but promptly urged her to return to the gathering, she claimed.
In addition to her claims, Jane asserted that Combs threatened to expose intimate videos he had taken of her with male sex workers at the hotel, stating he would do so in December 2023 and show them to her child’s father. This occurred during a string of disputes between the couple, she testified, as their relationship was disintegrating because she asserted her independence by telling the influential entrepreneur that she no longer wished to engage in sexual acts with other men for his satisfaction. Jane stated that her mental well-being worsened during this period, as she became aware of the alleged manipulative tactics Combs used against her; at one point, she even experienced suicidal thoughts, she said. Furthermore, Jane recounted an instance where she vomited during a session with three men and shared her feelings after viewing footage of herself from a hotel night.
She stated that she appeared to be under the influence of something, as she was adhering to a particular routine which she believed he desired. It felt like a continuous performance.
A man identified as Cabral, who featured alongside her in a private adult video, demanded $10,000 for the recording that Diddy (Combs) had captured on the sex worker’s phone. Later, it was reportedly sold to an unnamed publishing company, according to her statement.
As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but reflect on the pivotal moment for me – and perhaps for many others – when Jane encountered Ventura’s 2023 legal filing against Combs. This case, which was notoriously resolved out of court the very next day, left an indelible mark. Three crucial pages within that complaint resonated deeply with her, she shared. Furthermore, she revealed to the court that upon reading the suit, she unexpectedly lost consciousness.
She expressed that it seemed as if she was reliving her personal experiences of sexual trauma while reading,” she stated. In a previously recorded phone conversation, which was later presented in court, he requested her empathy, both emotionally and spiritually.
I felt it necessary to express that I value our friendship; rest assured, there’s nothing more on my mind, dear. I humbly ask for your support in prayer,” the influential figure said to her. “I will offer my prayers for you, and I cherish our friendship.
On Monday, Jane recounted a distressing account that was initially brought up by the prosecution, which detailed an incident where she was violently assaulted by Combs during an argument following his public appearance with a woman significantly younger than himself. In this altercation, Jane called him a “predator” and aggressively struck his head against a marble kitchen counter. This action reportedly infuriated Combs, who then pursued her within the apartment, destroying four doors as she attempted to escape from his assault.
On that June day of 2024, Jane expressed the intense fear she experienced by saying she hurriedly departed from home, and spent numerous hours in the vicinity, anxiously awaiting Combs’ departure.
Jane Doe’s testimony will resume when court is back in session on Tuesday.
