The 50th anniversary celebration of “Jaws” is progressing smoothly, as Mondo now becomes part of the shark-filled events.

Mondo is set to unveil a special collection of merchandise based on Steven Spielberg’s classic summer blockbuster, Jaws. This exclusive line includes: a soft vinyl shark figure by James Groman, an original poster designed by Danny Haas, a record featuring the timeless Jaws theme, and a double-LP containing John Williams’ complete score, remastered for high quality sound.

Hector Arce, Mondo’s Senior Director of Creative and Product Development, expresses without a doubt that the entire Mondo team adores the movie Jaws. For years, they have been expressing their affection for this classic film, and given its 50th anniversary this year, they felt compelled to create something extraordinary. To pay tribute to this legendary movie, they’ve designed a collection that encompasses posters, music, and collectible figurines. By working with talented artists like Danny Haas and James Groman, they’ve managed to highlight details that dedicated fans will immediately recognize. This collection is essentially a heartfelt tribute to one of their favorite films, and they can hardly wait for everyone to get their hands on it.

Speaking about it, Peter Santa-Maria (AttackPeter), the Senior Creative Director of Art at Mondo, likened taking on such a significant project to attempting to capture a 25-foot shark with a malfunctioning boat and only half a tank of fuel – but the dedicated team at Mondo managed to pull it off. Just as in “Jaws,” it required a closely bonded group with diverse talents joining forces to confront something colossal. Every member, from artists to designers to project managers, gave their best to ensure this collection paid homage to one of cinema’s most iconic films. Filled with nostalgia, careful attention to detail, and the distinctive Mondo touch, it serves as a heartfelt tribute to “Jaws” – created by enthusiasts for enthusiasts.

JAWS 50 – SELECTION AND STUDIO RARITIES FROM THE MOTION PICTURE 10” – TIMED EDITION – $35

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic film Jaws, Mondo collaborated with Backlot Music, Universal Pictures, and especially John Williams to choose two previously unreleased tracks for a special commemorative album. These tracks were personally selected from the archives by Williams himself and have never been available in any format before. The music for JAWS 50 – Selection and Studio Rarities From the Motion Picture 10″ was restored and remastered by Mike Matessino, as part of his work on the complete score’s 50th Anniversary Reissue. This limited edition vinyl record, shaped like a shark bite, is pressed on Chum Red Vinyl and protected in a 3 mil clear polyethylene sleeve. Mondo’s Nolan Fleming oversaw the direction, design, and packaging of this release.

JAWS – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SCORE – 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION 2XLP – $60

This restoration and remaster of John Williams’ full score for the movie JAWS was done jointly by Mondo Music, Back Lot Music, and Universal Pictures. Overseen by maestro John Williams, this new version features a fresh high-definition transfer from original studio recordings to deliver what is considered the ultimate release of the JAWS soundtrack.

  • This double album is pressed on two 180 gram vinyl records. The packaging for this set includes a pop-up shark fin jacket that can be displayed, enclosed in an O-card slipcase with a gold metallic bellyband. The records are available in multiple color options: the Mondo Exclusive “Blood & Water” Vinyl Variant, black vinyl, and picture disc vinyl variants.
