Today, Supermassive Games shared fresh details about Little Nightmares 3 – the upcoming chapter in one of gaming’s eeriest and emotionally resonant horror platformers. Scheduled for launch on October 11, development duties for this third part are no longer handled by Tarsier Studios, the original creators of the first two games. Instead, a brand-new studio is now leading the project.
That studio is Supermassive Games.
Under Bandai Namco’s guidance, Supermassive Games takes over the Little Nightmares series following Tarsier Studios’ departure to work on different ventures. Renowned for producing horror games with a strong cinematic and narrative focus, such as Until Dawn (2015), The Dark Pictures Anthology, and the upcoming Directive 8020, Supermassive has proven its ability to instill fear and apprehension in their titles. This skill is clearly demonstrated in Little Nightmares 3.
A New Era with Little Nightmares 3 and Co-op
In a short while, the highly anticipated game “Little Nightmares 3” will be available, and Supermassive Games has taken a fresh approach to enhance its traditional single-player structure into an immersive cooperative adventure. This innovative change resonates with the collaborative essence found in games like “It Takes Two” by Hazelight Studios and “Split Fiction,” but the chilling journey of Low and Alone is fraught with eerie, unexplainable terrors.

Due to its compatibility across various gaming platforms, friends can jointly enjoy Little Nightmares 3 without any hassle. What’s more, the game employs a Friend’s Pass system similar to that of Hazelight Studios, meaning only one individual needs to buy the game for both to play together.
More Little Nightmares from Supermassive Games
In addition to Little Nightmares 3, there’s another project in the pipeline from Supermassive for the series. It’s a standalone VR game named Little Nightmares: Altered Echoes, but at this point, more specific information about it hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Nevertheless, given the distinctive style of terror it employs, it’s likely that we’ll witness something noteworthy. Maybe a small hero will be introduced, struggling against terrifying creatures, though this time, the horror could unfold within a chilling virtual reality environment.

Additionally, the franchise’s dark and mysterious universe is further enriched by Supermassive’s latest offering – a comic book named “Descent to Nowhere”, which delves deeper into its intriguing and unsettling atmosphere.
For individuals keen on experiencing the initial game starring Six again, you have two options:
1. Pre-order Little Nightmares 3 now and secure the Enhanced Edition.
2. Wait until October 11 for the complete release to enjoy both tales simultaneously.

This signals a new surge in popularity for the game, Little Nightmares, and enthusiasts of the series (count me among them) eagerly anticipate that Supermassive Games will recreate the eerie suspense and apprehension that Tarsier Studios introduced in the initial installments.
