The Liver King Gets Out of Jail and Doubles Down: “The Videos Will Never Stop”

Brian “The Liver King” Johnson, who was recently freed from jail in Austin, has shared fresh videos on social media platforms, which appear to suggest a renewed desire to engage in combat with Joe Rogan.

On Tuesday, Johnson got taken into custody due to accusations of issuing terrorist threats, stemming from a series of strange videos over two days in which he repeatedly expressed his desire to have physical fights with the well-known comedian podcaster.

Or:

Johnson was apprehended on Tuesday for allegedly making terroristic statements, as a result of a pair of bizarre videos spread over two days, where he kept expressing his intention to fight the popular comedian podcast host in person.

In the latest video, Johnson talks about his arrest without mentioning Rogan directly, but he does allude to the Comedy Mothership club, making it clear whom he’s addressing. In other videos, he either uses a pseudonym that sounds like Rogan or even refers to Seth Rogen. He continues to hint at an upcoming fight and promises that more videos are on the way.

Johnson additionally displays an ankle bracelet and mentions that Rogan obtained a protective order, restricting him from approaching within 200 yards.

I found Johnson’s videos to be somewhat complex in structure, similar to his earlier works, making them a bit challenging to understand. However, there’s an intriguing statement he made: “Apparently, if they locked him up for allegedly making a terroristic threat, the Violent Crimes Division would arrest him, but the supposed terroristic threat turned out to be a gift hidden inside that container, intended for you and your coworkers at the Mothership.

Johnson suggests that the terroristic threat charge was lessened, and he adds: “However, I’d rather not disclose specifics or names. That’s how you prepare for a battle. And you believed the videos would cease. But they will persist… you possess an endless supply of malice, and then we’ll embrace and unite… at some stage, you need to yield something. True tension, real struggle.

He then adds, “No laws will be broken, I can assure you.”

This week, Johnson mentions he’s been instructed to undergo a regular psychiatric assessment, with follow-ups scheduled each month.

Johnson, sporting a bushy beard, is a contentious and flamboyant figure on social media, advocating for a “primitive, ancestral way of living.” This lifestyle encourages the consumption of uncooked organ meats and the use of his branded supplements.

On Wednesday, the Austin Police Department declared that investigators examined social media posts where it appeared Johnson was en route to Austin while still making menacing statements. Investigators then contacted Mr. Rogan, who confirmed he had no history of interaction with Johnson and deemed the posts as threatening. Consequently, they secured an arrest warrant for Johnson due to a charge related to terroristic threats. This offense was categorized as a Class B misdemeanor.

Johnson’s initial videos contained expressions like, “I challenge you, Joe Rogan!” and “You’ll regret it, I’ll be the one seeking retribution… I won’t back down, I’ll keep fighting.

Johnson and Rogan have a long-standing relationship. In the past, Rogan criticized Johnson on his podcast, labeling him “ridiculous,” because the celebrity claimed his muscular build was a result of a “natural” lifestyle and denied using steroids. However, in 2022, Johnson admitted that he had indeed used steroids and human growth hormone after emails between himself and a doctor were made public online, revealing he spent $11,000 per month on these substances. Recently, Rogan stated that Johnson has requested to appear on his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” but the host declined, explaining, “You pulled a scam and got caught.

The turbulent past of the duo was detailed in Netflix’s recent documentary Untold: The Liver King, which portrayed Johnson’s ascent and downfall. It appears that Johnson partly attributes Rogan to the controversy’s influence on his supplement business.
