Jean-Claude Biver and his son Pierre’s luxury watch brand, Biver, have recently introduced two fresh interpretations of their debut timepiece, the Carillon Tourbillon. Available in titanium and rose gold variants with a two-tone option, these new editions preserve the original’s technical intricacy but present it with a more subtle style.

The two models share the Calibre JCB.001-B movement, which includes a tourbillon, minute repeater, and micro-rotor. However, the tourbillon has been hidden under an Automatique-style textured dial for a more subtle look. The design incorporates faceted white gold hands, applied hour markers, and a white gold chemin de fer to give it a classic feel while maintaining a refined and understated appearance.

The Two-Tone design combines titanium with 18k 5N rose gold for a cozy, vintage aesthetic, while the Titanium model opts for a modern, single-tone appearance. Regardless of their simple dials, both watches contain the same intricate mechanisms as their predecessors, and the minute repeater slide on the left side of the case is the only hint at the complexities hidden within.

For each model, there’s a custom-made bracelet that boasts faceted, off-centered links and an effortless link adjustment mechanism. These can be purchased in either full titanium or a blend of titanium and rose gold. The cufflinks, made with gold surfaces hand-brushed to perfection and concave edges, mimic the timepieces’ intricate design elements. The Carillon Tourbillon Signature Series, priced at approximately 475,000 CHF ($593,804 USD), is now up for grabs through Biver and its international retailers.
