Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the CONCEPT AMG GT XX, a powerful four-door electric coupe that serves as a precursor to the first production model on their new high-performance AMG.EA platform. Boasting more than 1,000 kW (approximately 1,360 hp) from three axial flux motors and an advanced high-voltage battery, the GT XX is capable of reaching top speeds over 223 mph and recharging up to 400 km (about 250 miles) of range in just five minutes. The design of this electric powerhouse was influenced by AMG’s global development network and its Formula 1 engineers in Brixworth, ensuring it delivers next-generation power with endurance through direct battery cell cooling for consistent peak output and high-speed performance.

In appearance, the GT XX showcases both its aggressiveness and advanced technology. Its sleek, low-profile fastback shape is accentuated by a sunset beam orange paint that glows with luminescent segments, concealed door handles, and a dynamic rear light panel capable of displaying real-time animations. The interior design minimizes distractions, featuring visible structural components, unique biotech leather sourced from recycled GT3 tires, 3D-printed ergonomic seat cushions, and two tilted driver-facing screens. The blend of functionality and style is evident in the exposed AMG emblem on the console, orange “high-voltage” highlights, and the absence of rear windows – all testaments to its performance-oriented focus.

The design of the GT XX is meticulously crafted for swiftness, optimized performance, and forward-thinking features. This includes a unique battery system utilizing cylindrical NCMA cells and high-voltage oil cooling, as well as active wheels that adjust for brake cooling and aerodynamic efficiency. As of now, Mercedes-Benz has not disclosed any production plans regarding the GT XX.
