Attending Pokemon Go Fest Paris 2025

  • Exploring Paris while playing Pokemon
  • Lots of shiny Pokemon spawning in
  • Seeing so many other trainers

It’s no secret that I’d be going to the Pokémon Go Fest 2025 in Paris, given my deep-seated affection for Pokémon Go. With Paris being just a stone’s throw away, it would be quite unusual if I didn’t participate!

In 2025, Go Fest took place at three global locations; the European event occurred in Paris, France, specifically at Parc de Sceaux. This expansive park is conveniently situated next to a train station and boasted a dedicated area within for Pokémon Go enthusiasts. The playable section of the park was structured like a massive rectangle, divided into four distinct zones.

At the peak of the park, you’d discover a merchandise store and some dining spots. Towards the base, additional eateries could be found, while in the heart of the park, various scene setups created an atmosphere akin to a Pokémon Festival. Over the weekend event, the scorching heat was intense, causing many park-goers to seek refuge under the trees’ shade. A common observation at Go Fests is that shade is often insufficient!

During Pokémon Go Fest Paris, you can walk from section to section, capturing specific Pokémon in those areas. There is a questline to follow that gets you Volcanion! You can also choose which fusion you want enough energy to fuse; Zacian or Zamazenta, but you could only fuse one and needed to wait until Go Fest Global for the other. Each area also had different catch challenges, which sort of welcomed you to find the Pokémon you were after. For me, in the park, spawn rates were only okay, with the real increased shiny rate being in the City Explore add-on.
Around the park, they had a fun castle set up, which was great for pictures, along with some areas where you can take part in activities even if you don’t have a park ticket. The PvP battles are always a hit, and they tend to have a quiz every few hours for prizes. There were also booths of people handing out merch and prizes across the park, which was fun! Lots of decorations were put around – a giant Go Fest LoGo, a massive Pikachu, and a whole treasure area. You could meet Pokémon in outfits, though the weather was so warm we weren’t really waiting in line, and of course, they had some influencers to meet as well.

At Pokémon Go Fest Paris, the atmosphere is filled with excitement as trainers from all over gather to share their passion for this game. Throughout the event, you can hear shouts of discovered shinies, calls for perfect IV (Individual Values) Pokémons, and negotiations for trading regional species. During our visit to some nearby parks during the City Experience, the energy remained contagious as people enjoyed their common pastime together. It’s truly a marvelous display of camaraderie!
